About the service

A U.S. K-3 spousal visa allows the foreign spouse of a U.S. citizen to enter the United States while waiting for their immigrant visa application to be processed. This helps shorten the separation period between the couple during the lengthy visa approval process.

Eligibility: Only for spouses of U.S. citizens who have an approved Form I-130.

Application process: File Form I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiancé) with USCIS.

Documentation: Submit proof of marriage, along with other required documents.

Processing time: Generally shorter than waiting for an immigrant visa.

Next steps: Once in the U.S., the spouse can apply for a green card to become a permanent resident.
